This series consists of inward and outward correspondence between Mrs Santospirito to Arthur Calwell and the Department of Immigration. It also contains copies of correspondence between Calwell and the Department which were forwarded to Mrs Santospirito.

Folder 41.5 contains many undated documents, most of which detail the cases of migrants whose applications to the Department for entry into Australia or for landing permits for their nominees were unsuccessful. These cases were presumably enclosed with letters to Calwell or the Department and most likely date from the period 1951-1952.

These records were originally files ‘A2’ and ’A4’ in Cassetto A.
