About the Program
Since its establishment in 1967 Co.As.It. has been involved in the teaching of the Italian Language which is today one of the major activities of the organisation.
Using Prego! An Invitation to Italian (7th edition), McGraw-Hill Publishers, as the prescribed text the four strands of listening, speaking, reading and writing are incorporated in our course.
Levels range from Beginners through to Intermediate and onto Advanced. Conversation classes are conducted at all levels giving students a further opportunity to improve fluency while revising grammar.

Pathway for Adult Classes Program
Courses especially for Students from a Italian Background, whose listening and speaking skills in Italian are more advanced than their formal grammar skills are conducted by teachers who are native speakers and with only Italian being spoken in the classes.
Italian for Travellers is ideal for those intending to travel to Italy and who have no or little understanding of the Italian language. There is only a very brief grammar focus as this course is only for ten weeks duration. Language covered includes the varying situations that tourists are likely to encounter, as well as emergency terms and phrases. This course uses the prescribed text Buongiorno Italia, BBC.
Consolidation classes are bridging classes and are inserted whenever necessary, to ensure that a smooth transition occurs between levels.
