Co.As.It works in partnerships with many individuals and organisations: Federal and State governments in Australia and Italy, the Victorian Multicultural Commission, the Immigration Museum and other cultural institutions.
The Association of Senior Italian Citizens’ Clubs of Victoria is constituted by over 90 senior citizens’ clubs for Italian-Australians operating throughout the Melbourne metropolitan areas and in several regional areas. Groups meet in community venues and generally meet two to three times a week.
There are many opportunities to get involved at Co.As.It.: volunteer to visit senior citizens, make a donation to the Italian Historical Society or help out at the many events.
CO.AS.IT. has been involved with so many events, projects and activities that our timeline coincides with key moments in the history of the Italian community in Victoria and in Australia. CO.AS.IT. has been and still is a remarkable and vital presence in Australian society.
Offering a special education program for teachers of Italian, English and SOSE – with self-guided or staff-led options – Museo Italiano is the perfect place for your next excursion!
