CO.AS.IT. is delighted to receive the internationally significant and beautifully designed publication: Ordine dei Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto - Elenco Nominativo - Australia (Order of the Knights of Vittorio Veneto, Names List, Australia).

To celebrate this significant donation from the , Italy, to the CO.AS.IT. Italian Historical Society, a special exhibition has been developed to showcase the publication and commemorate the Knights of Vittorio Veneto.

The Exhibition has been developed with the assistance of the Italian Embassy in Canberra and the Museo della Battaglia di Vittorio Veneto. It includes a selection of powerful images taken at the Italian Front at the end of WWI from the famous Fondo Marzocchi, of the Museo della Battaglia. These images were on display in the successful exhibition “1915-1918 Instants and Places of the Italian Front”, which was held at the Embassy of Italy in Canberra in 2018 and was jointly conceived and curated by Anna Maria Fioretti of the Embassy of Italy in Canberra and Antonella Uliana, Councillor for Culture, Municipality of Vittorio Veneto.

The publication (only three copies of which were released in Australia) contains the list of names of approximately 2,000 Italian WWI veterans who received the prestigious Knighthood of Vittorio Veneto while living in Australia. An electronic version of the list of names has been created to provide visitors with the opportunity to find relatives and friends who were awarded the Knighthood.

The Exhibition provides a personal connection to the book and WWI history by featuring unique items relating to one of the Knights of Vittorio Veneto listed in the book, Cav. Remigio Cavedon, whose life story is documented in CO.AS.IT.’s Italian Historical Society Collection.

Exhibition Dates: 21 May – 3 August 2019
