What is CO.AS.IT. Resource Centre?
CO.AS.IT. Resource Centre is an educational library with contemporary, authentic resources such as books, kits, DVDs, CDs, posters, games, maps and realia. The collection is not of a general nature but Italian specific, aimed at primary through to tertiary teachers and students.
Where are we located?
CO.AS.IT.Resource Centre is located at Mezzanine level, 189 Faraday Street, Carlton. On-street parking is restricted and there is disabled access.
Who can access the collection?
CO.AS.IT. Resource Centre is not a public library and can only be accessed by teachers of Italian or students currently engaged in the learning of Italian. Membership is via an annual subscription, the costs are listed here.
How can I access the resources I want?
The Resource Centre collection can initially be accessed via the online catalogue.
What is the borrowing period and limit?
- The borrowing period is up to four weeks with DVDs having a loan period of two weeks. Most items may be renewed for another loan period depending on demand.
- The borrowing limit for teacher / school / organisational subscribers is up to 60 items depending on availability and 10 items for students.
- Should items be in high demand teacher / school / organisational subscribers have precedence over student subscribers.
- Administrative costs of 10 cents per day, per item apply for overdue items.
What are the opening hours?
Wednesday to Friday: 9am–5 pm
*Late night opening on Tuesday is only during the school term and not during the school holiday period.
Apart from Monday, Co.As.It Resource Centre is open throughout the school term holiday period. January operating hours may vary – always check Co.As.It website for details before you plan your visit.
