Doposcuola is an accredited Community Language School with the Department of Education and Training offering Italian language classes outside of school hours for students from Foundation to Year 10, plus VCE support for Years 11 and 12 students studying Italian at mainstream schools.
CO.AS.IT-Italian Assistance Association is a child safe organisation committed to the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people attending the After Hours Italian Program (Doposcuola). CO.AS.IT  adheres to and implements the Victorian Child Safe Standards. Education staff and teachers have all undertaken Child Safe training.

When and where

Classes are held at 44 University Street, Carlton during school terms.

Saturdays:
9.30am to 12.30pm

VCE Support Classes
Saturdays 9.30am to 12.30pm or
Wednesdays 4.30pm-7pm

Preschool Italian classes for 4 year old students 
The Preschool classes called "Girotondo" will be held at the new location Tommaso Fiaschi Child Care Centre , 65 Station Street, Carlton. The location is a short walking distance to CO.AS.IT.; The weekly classes are held on Saturdays at 9.30am-12.30pm (3 hours) and include a morning break for children to have a snack/drink and play. The yearly fees for the program (Feb.-Dec) are $690.00 per student. Our teachers are all fully qualified with VIT registration and with Working with Children check.
What is being taught
Classes are offered from Foundation to Year 10 levels, as well as VCE support for students studying Italian at mainstream schools. Classes are structured in line with the Victorian Curriculum. The VCE Italian Study design is referred to for the VCE Support classes

Melbourne is grateful for the financial assistance received from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Collaboration in support of this initiative; Ministero degli Affari Esteri e Cooperazione Internazionale (MAECI) In merito alla valorizzazione del contributo ministeriale e in ottemperanza all’Art. 9 del Decreto Attuativo 1049/2024 iniziative che sono in via di realizzazione col supporto finanziario 2025 del MAECI e la pubblicazione dei moduli P3 e P4 relativi all’anno scolastico in corso.
