Italian Historical Society
Thanks to its unique connection with the Italian Community, the Italian Historical Society excels in collecting, preserving and sharing the Italian immigration experience in Australia.
The Italian Historical Society was established in 1980. Much of its collection has been donated by Italian migrants and their descendents, and while reflective of the experience of Italians across the country, the focus is Victoria.

Used together they provide a unique Italian Carlton experience.
These events were nominated for a 2022 Victorian Museums and Galleries Association Award as part of the Italian Carlton Project and, were part of the 2022 and 2023 Open House Melbourne Weekends .
