Visitation Volunteer Program (Aged Care)

CO.AS.IT.’s Visitation Program provides friendly one-to-one visits by Volunteers in private homes on a weekly basis. Join us in making a meaningful difference for those who are socially isolated.

Regional Visitation Coordinator - Shepparton

We are seeking a Regional Coordinator to support and manage our visitation services across Shepparton and surrounding regional areas. This part‑time role (20 hours per week) offers flexibility and can be worked over four or five days, making it ideal for applicants seeking work–life balance. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating volunteers, supporting clients, ensuring compliance, and promoting our programs within the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, induct, train and support volunteers across the Shepparton region inclusive of running team meetings/toolbox sessions in consultation with the program manager.
  • Coordinate the Friendly Visiting Program, including matching eligible clients and volunteers.
  • Monitor volunteer engagement, service quality, and adherence to program guidelines, addressing issues or complaints as required.
  • Conduct client assessments and contribute to the development of service‑specific care plans.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, families, volunteers, departmental staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all reporting and compliance obligations are met, including volunteer documentation, data collection, and monthly reporting.
  • Promote CO.AS.IT. programs within the community and build partnerships with local service providers.
  • Travel within the designated region to support clients, volunteers, recruitment activities, and program objectives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive volunteer culture through ongoing support, training, and recognition activities.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant qualification in Community Services.
  • Recent applicable experience in coordinating community-based programs, volunteer based desirable.
  • Strong computer and IT skills.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the Italian community.
  • Developed understanding of the Shepparton community.
  • Current full drivers licence and ability to commute as required by the role.
  • Advanced administration and time management skills.
  • Positive and community focused attitude with a willingness to learn.
