This exhibition explores the history, meaning, and craftsmanship of Venetian masks — powerful symbols of anonymity, freedom, and social transformation. Through a curated selection of traditional masks, visitors are invited to discover how these objects played an important role in Venetian life well beyond the Carnevale period, reflecting centuries of social, theatrical, and cultural practice.

The exhibition traces the origins of Venetian mask traditions, their connection to Commedia dell’Arte, and the artisanal techniques used to create them, highlighting a craft that continues to thrive today.

Presented in collaboration with Brunetti Classico, the exhibition features Venetian masks from the collection of Fabio Angele, Brunetti Classico, offering a rare opportunity to view these remarkable pieces up close.

All exhibition panels are presented in both English and Italian, making the exhibition accessible to a wide and diverse audience.
