CO.AS.IT & NoFilter Productions presents a screening of the 2026 AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) nominated short film “Don’t Ignore Me”. Guests will be welcomed by Italian actor Rosangela Fasano, who leads the cast and will share insights into the creative partnership that brought this compelling story to life.
The event includes a full screening of the film, followed by a panel and Q and A on filmmaking in the smartphone era with Rosangela, producer Raymond Mendez and writer Bianca Kean. Their conversation offers a close look at how a mobile phone production reached major award recognition and connected with audiences around the world. It’s a warm and engaging night for anyone interested in storytelling, culture and the creative process.
Don’t Ignore Me has become the first film in the 68 years of AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) history to be shot completely on a mobile phone, and Director Charli Fletcher at the age of 15 becoming the youngest ever director nominated.

Don't Ignore Me Synopsis
Sofia’s obsession with her phone comes at the cost of her social life. What starts as innocent scrolling quickly takes a dark turn when an app begins sending her messages. With every notification blurring the boundary between the screen and reality. But as the messages grow increasingly disturbing, Sofia realises this is more than a social media stunt, as it reveals itself in the real world and drags her into theirs. Losing yourself in your phone has never been more terrifying.
Biographies:
Rosangela Fasano : Actor/ Executive producer
Rosangela is a former Miss Italy semi-finalist, an international model and actor in Australia. Originally from Torino Italy, her background is African/Italian.
Rosangela graduated from Victorian Collage of Arts (Uni Melb) with a Bachelors degree for Fine Arts in acting. With many acting roles to her name her most recent performance as the lead in the award winning short film Riverberi as well as appearing in the Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
Raymond Mendez : Producer
Raymond is a multi-award winning producer. His previous film THE LOCKET has won multiple awards and nominations locally & internationally. On his latest project DON'T IGNORE ME he works with Charli Fletcher to create a nail-biting short film.
Raymond is also engaged with building communities through video partnerships, empowering youth, encouraging more diversity to tell their own stories through NoFilter Productions.
